About This Role:

The Executive Partner, Supply Chain (Life Sciences) serves as a trusted advisor to supply chain executives and functional leaders across leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and broader life sciences organizations. Leveraging Gartner research, analyst expertise, and an extensive peer network, Executive Partners help clients address mission-critical priorities, including supply chain transformation, operational excellence, digital innovation, resilience, and growth. Acting as a strategic thought partner, they enable leaders to make better decisions, accelerate outcomes, and drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 25-30 executive member relationships across leading life sciences organizations.
• Act as a trusted advisor through regular consultations, executive coaching, and strategic guidance aligned to client priorities and business objectives.
• Advise clients on critical initiatives including supply chain strategy, operating model design, transformation, digital innovation, resilience, planning, manufacturing, and operational excellence.
• Serve as an extension of the client's leadership team, providing objective recommendations and actionable insights on key strategic decisions.
• Connect members with Gartner research, analyst expertise, best practices, and peer insights to accelerate decision-making and execution.
• Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions, and annual planning discussions to support long-term business goals.
• Encourage and facilitate participation in peer networking opportunities, Gartner events, and member communities.
• Develop customized engagement and value plans focused on achieving measurable business outcomes and progress against priority initiatives.
• Support all phases of the member lifecycle, including pre-sale, onboarding, engagement, delivery, value realization, review, renewal, and retention.
• Partner closely with Gartner sales, Client Success Partners, and leadership teams to drive client retention, growth, and member satisfaction.
• Ensure consistent value delivery through contextualized research, analyst interactions, executive coaching, and ongoing strategic support.
• Facilitate member collaboration through the Enterprise Supply Chain Leaders community and targeted peer connections.
• Support Gartner research initiatives through member participation, case studies, advisory panels, and research communities.
• Lead Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and other community engagements focused on high-priority supply chain topics.
• Represent Gartner as a respected thought leader and trusted advisor within the life sciences supply chain community.

What You'll Need

• 20+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within life sciences organizations and/or supply chain consulting environments.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, strategy development, transformation, and operational excellence.
• Experience advising and influencing senior executives, including Directors, VPs, SVPs, and other enterprise leaders.
• Strong understanding of how supply chain strategy supports broader business objectives, growth, innovation, and resilience.
• Ability to build credibility quickly and serve as a trusted advisor to executive-level clients.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 160,000 USD - 194,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
