Harbor Child Care is searching for its next 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿/𝗖𝗘𝗢—and this is a tremendous opportunity for an accomplished leader who wants to make a meaningful impact.

For more than 50 years, Harbor has supported children and families throughout Nassau County. Today, it serves approximately 1,000 children through six locations offering full-day child care, early childhood education, and school-age programming.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director/CEO will lead Harbor’s:

• Mission, strategy, and organizational growth
• Multi-site operations and program quality
• Financial performance and sustainability
• Workforce development and leadership succession
• Regulatory compliance and risk management
• Community, government, and funding relationships
Qualifications: 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚

We are looking for a collaborative, mission-driven executive who can see the big picture while successfully managing the day-to-day complexities of a multi-site organization.

Key qualifications include:

• Significant senior leadership experience in early childhood education, education, nonprofit management, human services, or a related field
• Experience leading complex, multi-site operations
• Strong financial and organizational management skills
• Experience developing senior leaders and high-performing teams
• The ability to work effectively with a governing board
• Success building community, government, and funding partnerships
• 𝗔 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱; doctorate preferred but not required
