EVENT ATTENDANT (PRIVATE EVENTS& GROUP SALES)

The Sales Department at RIVERSPORT Foundation makes up one of the most vital aspects of our organizations success. You will be able to gain valuable experience in:

Organization & implementation of private events, weddings, group outings, birthday parties & more
Guest Services

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet, acknowledge, and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Assist with catering and bar service as needed - must be willing to get bartending license
Provide event support for client, caterer and vendors
Assist with room setup as needed and provide AV support
Effectively communicate RIVERSPORT Adventures & Pass Types
Assist Sales Team with implementation of events, as needed
Facilitate group check-ins of small groups, birthday parties, corporate events and exclusives
Ensure a clean venue for birthday parties and corporate events
Communicate effectively with catering and guest services
Interact with large groups of people in a fast-paced environment
Represent Riversport Foundation by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
Ensure venues, birthday party space and catering are set up on time and appropriately
Other duties assigned by Sales Director

Qualifications: SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

High School Graduate
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal communication skills
A tolerance for direct sunlight and high temperatures
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to perform work independently
Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Must be a team player and must be able to communicate well with others
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Interest in outdoor lifestyle is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand, stoop, crouch, twist, push, and lift for brief and/or extended periods of time
Must be able to walk comfortably throughout the course of the day over various surfaces
Must be able to work in all weather conditions including exposure to direct sunlight.
Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level
