The Esthetician will provide exceptional skincare services while delivering personalized luxury wellness experiences for our Members and Guests. This role is responsible for delivering customized facial and skincare treatments while creating a relaxing, luxurious environment that reflects the Club's commitment to personalized hospitality and five-star service.

Key Responsibilities

Member Experience 

• Deliver exceptional facial and skincare experiences tailored to each Member's individual skin concerns, lifestyle, and wellness goals.  

• Build meaningful relationships with Members by providing personalized care and maintaining detailed knowledge of treatment history and skincare preferences.  

• Welcome Members warmly and create a relaxing, comfortable environment throughout each service.  

• Conduct comprehensive skin consultations and develop customized treatment plans based on skin analysis and desired outcomes.  

• Educate Members on skincare ingredients, treatment benefits, home care routines, and preventative skincare practices.  

• Recommend professional skincare products, treatment enhancements, and ongoing services that support each Member's skincare goals.  

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all Member information and personal conversations.  

• Promote a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the luxury standards of The Madison Club.  

Skincare Services 

• Perform customized facial and skincare treatments in accordance with Club standards and California State Board regulations.  

• Customize every treatment to meet the individual needs and skin concerns of each Member.  

• Perform services including, but not limited to: Customized/ Hydra/Oxygen Facials, Acne Treatments, Dermaplaning (if certified and within scope), Chemical Exfoliation, LED Light Therapy, High Frequency/Microcurrent Treatments, Lymphatic Facial Massage, Facial Cupping (if certified), Brow Waxing, Lash/Brow Tinting, Scalp Treatments

• Stay current on skincare technologies, treatment protocols, ingredients, and industry trends to continually elevate service offerings.  

• Maintain service timing while ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and attention to detail.  

Spa Operations 

• Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and luxury presentation.  

• Sanitize all implements, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with California State Board regulations and Spa protocols.  

• Maintain adequate inventory of professional skincare products, retail merchandise, linens, and treatment supplies.  

• Complete detailed treatment notes and maintain accurate Member records.  

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.  

• Ensure treatment rooms consistently reflect the luxury presentation standards of The Madison Club.  

• Report equipment maintenance concerns promptly.  

Retail & Product Recommendations 

• Educate Members on professional skincare products and personalized home care routines.  

• Recommend retail products that complement treatments and support long-term skincare goals. 

• Assist with merchandising and maintaining an organized, visually appealing Spa Boutique.  

• Support seasonal retail promotions, product launches, and vendor events.  

• Maintain current knowledge of skincare ingredients, technologies, and product lines through continuing education and vendor training.  

Team Collaboration 

• Collaborate closely with Spa Coordinator, Massage Therapists, Hairstylists, Nail Technicians, Spa & Locker Room Attendants, and fellow Spa Providers to ensure a seamless Member experience. 

• Communicate Member preferences, treatment recommendations, appointment updates, and operational needs professionally.  

• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, product knowledge sessions, and seasonal training.  

• Support fellow Spa team members during busy periods and assist with operational needs whenever possible.  

• Foster a respectful, collaborative, and positive team environment.  

Operational Excellence 

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, discretion, and accountability in every Member interaction.  

• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled appointments.  

• Maintain all California licensing requirements and continuing education.  

• Follow all Spa policies, treatment protocols, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.  

• Demonstrate initiative by assisting with Spa operations between appointments.  

• Maintain treatment rooms and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.  

• Perform additional duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

• Current California Esthetician License required.  

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional esthetics experience preferred in a luxury Spa, private club, resort, or wellness environment.  

• Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, skincare ingredients, treatment protocols, contraindications, and sanitation standards.  

• Experience with: Customized Facials Treatments, Chemical Exfoliations, Dermaplaning, LED Light Therapy, High Frequency, Microcurrent, Facial Massage Techniques, Facial/Brow Waxing, Lash/Brow Tinting.

• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to educate Members on skincare, treatment planning, and home care routines.

Additional Requirements

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $17.00 Plus Commission and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
