ER Tech - PRN
Job Summary:
- Provides Emergency Room technical support for physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.
- All activities are under the direction of the MD or RN. Assists the RNs and MDs in providing technical care of the patients by performing phlebotomy, and performing 12 lead EKGs transporting patients to other departments, placing patient on cardiac and vital sign monitors, performs Point of Care Testing, performing wound care, obtaining lab specimens and documenting all care/procedures provided.
- Assists the Emergency Physician with technical support such as suturing simple lacerations.
- Cleans equipment and workspace.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current NM C.N.A., EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate Certification
- Certification; BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain such certifications.
Mimbres Valley Medical Center is the community healthcare provider; a 25–bed Critical Access Hospital, inpatient facility with, outpatient, medical, surgical, diagnostic and emergency care for the southwestern New Mexico region. Additionally, we offer a Skilled Nursing Unit and Long Term Care.
The Mimbres Professional Building is located on the hospital campus with the entrance on 8th Street. It houses physician practices with these specialties and services:

Clinic services can be found inside the hospital with access from the 900 West Ash Street entrance.
