Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in our medical office. This role is essential to infection control and patient safety, requiring strict adherence to cleaning protocols and attention to high-touch areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and common spaces
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, and medical equipment (per guidelines)
- Empty trash and biohazard waste in accordance with safety regulations
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and sanitizer
- Follow all OSHA, HIPAA (as applicable), and infection control procedures
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Prior janitorial or cleaning experience preferred (medical setting a plus)
- Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and disinfecting procedures
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
