Position Overview:
Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the Part-Time EHS Coordinator supports environmental health and safety initiatives across the organization. This role assists with training, inspections, audits, regulatory compliance activities, recordkeeping, and continuous improvement efforts while helping foster a strong safety culture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with environmental, health, and safety training programs
- Support safety committee activities and meetings
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits
- Help identify and evaluate safety risks and improvement opportunities
- Maintain training records, safety documentation, and compliance records
- Assist in managing environmental permits and compliance requirements
- Support incident investigations and corrective action initiatives
- Coordinate facility, equipment, and vehicle inspections
- Assist with workers' compensation and safety-related programs
- Partner with employees and leaders to promote a safe work environment
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and special assignments
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, or manufacturing operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a safety, compliance, or safety-adjacent role
- Manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and hazardous waste management practices
