What You'll Be Doing

• Reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure expenses are coded accurately.
• Review employee expense reports and supporting documentation.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and help investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and supporting workpapers.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Work closely with accounting and operations teams to support active construction projects.
• Help identify process improvements and opportunities to increase efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

OR

• Associate's degree in Accounting plus 1-2 years of accounting experience within a construction, subcontractor, or project-based environment

Preferred:

• Internship, part-time, or professional experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, AP, AR, payroll, or construction accounting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Humble, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
