Job Description
Premier Academy Walnut is seeking passionate and engaging English Teachers/Tutors to join our academic team. Teaching assignments will be based on your experience and preferred grade levels. You are not required to teach all grade levels.
Depending on your experience, you may teach Elementary, Middle School, High School, SAT English, AP English, group classes, 1-to-1 tutoring, or a combination.
Responsibilities
- Teach English group classes and/or 1-to-1 lessons based on your experience.
- Deliver engaging lessons using curriculum and teaching materials provided by Premier Academy.
- Support students in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Adapt instruction to students’ individual learning needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, professional, and passionate about teaching.
- Comfortable teaching one or more English grade levels/programmes.
Preferred
- Experience with High School English, SAT English, AP Lang or AP Lit is a plus.
- School district or tutoring centre experience is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin is a plus.
Pay: $22–$35/hour
Schedule: Part-time / Flexible
