Engineering Labs Operations Technician

Job Details: Job Location: Wittmann, AZ - , AZ, Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00Hourly, Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:

The Engineering Labs Operations Technician is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of vehicle testing facilities. This role includes daily operations support and customer coordination, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of testing and maintenance processes., upholds a professional working relationship with all associates and sets an example for other employees.

Essential Functions:

· Works under the general direction of the customer’s Supervisor, Kett Account Manager as needed.

· Support the installation and commissioning of new testing facilities and equipment

· Develop, document, and implement testing and maintenance procedures in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.

· Install test article, instrumentation, test equipment, and other components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and/or test procedures.

· Support on-site and remote customers with test planning by providing guidance on the test request intake process, coordinating test schedules and proactively communicate lab schedules across all stakeholders.

· Provide operational support for testing, both vehicle and component level, including operating vehicles and test chambers, capturing data, and communicating results to customers.

· Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities.

· Provide hands-on training for new personnel when needed.

· Champion safety, act as a role model, share passion and positivity for the role and support of the project.

· Perform work duties within established policies and procedures.

· Availability to travel if needed (25% or less).

Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel). Valid California driver’s license with clean record.

Skills/Experience: 2-5 years of automotive testing experience. Experience with operating and maintaining climate testing facilities are preferred. Strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Fabrication experience. A proven track record of problem solving an independent root cause analysis. Strong interest in automotive industry. Ability to apply logical thinking and decision making based on procedures and guidelines supplied in the various task assignments. Must be self-motivated and well organized with an ability to produce clear, organized, and timely documentation.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6 – 8 hours each day. Must be able to work well under stressful conditions. Must be flexible and available to work overtime, and hours outside of normal demands, including weekends and Holidays. Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
