Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

About the InternshipThis position provides candidates with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the construction industry. Working with a Field and/or Office Engineer, the intern will be exposed to different aspects of the construction of unique and challenging bridge, heavy civil, and marine projects throughout the United States.

• Overland Park, KS
• St. Louis, MO
• New Orleans, LA
• Mobile, AL

​Responsibilities and DutiesResponsibilities and duties for this position will vary depending on the needs of each project. They typically can include learning about elements of construction such as safety, quality, heavy lift planning, construction estimating, contract management, scheduling, and construction inspection.​Requirements

• Candidates must be completing their course of study in civil engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field. 
• Candidates must have a solid knowledge of the principles of design in wood, steel and concrete and have the ability to both understand design drawings and to express their ideas in drawings and sketches.
• General knowledge of the A/E/C industry. 
• Self-motivated and proven ability to lead collaborative efforts.
• Excellent grammar, composition and verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Interest in working with an industry-leading self-perform contractor in heavy civil and marine construction.

• Local travel and occasional trips to visit other jobsites
