Engineering Intern

ROBERT PECCIA & ASSOCIATES (RPA) is looking for various summer interns across the company. As an intern, we will count on you to assist in all manners of project types from surveying and inspection to engineering design and reporting. Projects may be for federal, state, and local agencies as well as private clients in various service areas such as water/wastewater, transportation, site development, airports, highways, structures, or field services. Interns are required to have a minimum of one year of enrollment in a college engineering curriculum. Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of basic engineering principles and able to work independently and as part of a design team.

Individual qualities that the company looks for are self-motivation, intelligence, common sense, industriousness, and the ability to communicate and work well with people. We will consider applicants with varied experience levels but are most focused on individuals with a desire to learn and grow with the position. The following are desired qualifications:

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Superior attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
• Desire to work as a team and on various project types.
• Willingness to travel and work outside.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
