Marine Components Engineering Design and Fabrication team is seeking a student for an 8-month Internship opportunity. The student must live near or be willing to relocate within driving distance from the plant that is in Loudon, TN. Start/completion dates listed below:
Start date: May 2026, end of spring semester
Completion date: December 2026
As part of Marine Components Engineering Team, students will have the opportunity to assist in design, continuous improvements, process improvements of new and existing products including marine flooring, trailers, towers, board racks, sheet metal products and more. The position includes responsibilities that will allow students to build upon their current engineering foundation and passion for marine industry and manufacturing. They will be challenged to identify opportunities for improvements in manufacturing process improvements and designs to enhance the fit/form/function of current and new product.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field
• Computer design experience in CAD modeling (Siemens NX and Solidworks) preferred
• Strong skills with hand tools and mechanical devices required

• Frequently climb in/out of boats on trailers and at boat ramps

Work Environment:
• Typical 8 to 10-hour workdays, 5 days/week with occasional overtime
• Required to work indoors and outdoors, year-round, and in all weather conditions
• Independent and collaborative work environments are both common
