Engineering Coordinator

Responsibilities

REAL ALLOY Engineering Coordinator

As our new Engineering Coordinator, you will act as the central administrative and communication hub for Engineering. This vital role tracks project metrics, organizes workflows, handles documentation control, bridges communication between engineering teams, and assists project managers/engineering management with technical and logistical tasks.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report overall capital spending status of the business to senior management on a regular basis.
• Maintain and execute the “Toll Gate Process” within the capital planning process across the business. Identify and initiate improvements to the process.
• Facilitate clear communication between internal engineers, cross-functional departments, vendors, and external contractors.
• Maintain storage of engineering drawings, specifications, Tollgate documentation, and other project/financial documentation.
• Work in conjunction with the engineering and procurement departments to initiate request for information (RFI), request for quote (RFQ), request for purchase order (RFPO), bid comparisons, non-disclosure agreement (NDA), contracts,
• Generate status reports using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or database software, manage electronic filing systems (like SharePoint, TEAMS, SmartSheets), and track department expenditures.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify any concerns with current status for management as well as providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and task deadlines to ensure team alignment.
• Implement a visual reporting mechanism with KPI’s to be used for regular updates to senior management.
• Monitor, maintain tracking software and develop reporting in software as needed.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Engineering Coordinator

• Associate’s degree in business, project management, engineering technology or related technical field or combination of equivalent experience and education.
• Minimum 2-years of project coordination or administrative experience, preferably within a manufacturing, construction, or engineering environment.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to present information clearly and the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated high organizational, time management, and critical problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio), MRP systems (Oracle preferred), and collaboration platforms.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, ERP systems, and document repositories preferred.
• Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also supporting others toward project goals.
• High energy, data driven personality.
