Job Description
The Database Architect Lead Engineer serves as the technical lead responsible for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise data architectures supporting modern web-based software applications. This role leads database design, data modeling, integration, performance optimization, and data governance activities supporting front-end web application development.
A sample of duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead enterprise database architecture and design activities.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models and ERDs.
- Design relational and non-relational database solutions.
- Develop tables, views, stored procedures, functions, indexes, and data integration processes.
- Collaborate with software engineers to support APIs, services, and front-end web application pages.
- Optimize application performance through efficient database design and query tuning.
- Implement security controls, auditing, encryption, and role-based access controls.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architecture oversight.
- Data architecture and data modeling methodologies.
- Advanced SQL and database optimization.
- API and application integration patterns.
- Agile software development methodologies.
