Engagement Coordinator

Job Details: Job Location: Christs Church - Mandarin Campus - Jacksonville, FL, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, The Engagement Team Coordinator supports all ministries of the church that involve serving, including local and global outreach and volunteer development. This role provides administrative oversight, project coordination, and volunteer engagement across a variety of service-oriented initiatives. The position requires a highly organized, self-motivated individual who excels in a collaborative team environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to servant leadership. Exceptional interpersonal, digital, and communication skills are essential.

 
Qualifications:
RELATIONSHIPS

Be a Disciple Maker: Foster a disciple-making culture by personally modeling disciple-making values and behaviors.
Support and Collaboration Across Teams: Work under the direction of the Engagement Pastor, aligning duties with team priorities. Collaborate with ministry and church-wide teams to ensure smooth coordination of projects and events.
Volunteer Oversight and Development: Oversee and invest in volunteers by coordinating schedules, supervising tasks, and providing onboarding and training. Cultivate a culture of discipleship and service among volunteers.
Communication and Connection: Field inquiries and direct them appropriately, maintaining a helpful and welcoming presence. Work closely with communication teams to ensure best practices in promotion, mobilization, and engagement. 

PRIORITIES

Administrative Excellence: Coordinate internal team calendars, meetings, and communications. Take and distribute meeting notes, manage reminders, and ensure follow-through on team action items. Oversee room reservations, event setup, and post-event details.
Project and Event Execution: Coordinate logistics for ministry events and projects, including registration, volunteer tracking, supplies, and follow-up. Provide hands-on support at events, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Process and Best Practices: Establish and maintain efficient administrative systems that support mission advancement and team alignment. Contribute to accurate reporting, maintain the accuracy of digital content, and assist the team in meeting deadlines.
Support for Major Events: Collaborate with all ministry teams to support worship services, special events, and community gatherings with intentional discipleship and care. Apply creativity and flexibility to address and overcome challenges in a pioneering and adaptive environment.

Proactively engage in All-Staff activities: Participate in required staff gatherings and provide needed team support.

PROCESS & SYSTEMS:

Administration: Utilize Paycom, Rock, and the Office 365 suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc. 
Observe Volunteer Guidelines: Execute volunteer development best practices and processes for recruitment, training, scheduling, and tracking of volunteers.
Evaluate and Improve Ministry Impact: Regularly assess procedures and systems for effectiveness and opportunities for growth.
Provide Metrics and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within ROCK, ensuring reliable reporting and tracking.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS 

Practice a strict policy of confidentiality when dealing with church member information.

Office environment with occasional remote support and off-site meetings with volunteers.
May require physical activity such as lifting and transporting items up to 25 lbs.
Occasional off-hours or weekend work may be required to support projects and events.
Occasional travel to other locations or event venues may be required.
