Employment Support Professional

Are you looking to make a difference in your community? We are now hiring an Employment Support Professional to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in attaining or maintaining employment. You will be helping to place people in jobs that match their skills and providing support at each step along their career paths. 

This community-based, hybrid-remote role is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to enter or grow within the Social Services or Human Services field. No previous experience in disability services is required. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for helping others, strong relationship-building skills, and a connection to the local community. 

As an Employment Support Professional, you will be meeting with clients in their homes and places of work while building relationships with local employers and community partners. We're seeking someone who is connected to and engaged in the Chelan Valley community, enjoys building relationships with local employers and organizations, and wants to help create meaningful employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Employment Specialist (Entry level):   Wage Range: $20.50 - $21.50 per hour 
Employment Consultant (Mid to experienced):   Wage Range: $22.50 - $26.00 per hour 
Location: Chelan / Lake Chelan / Manson
Schedule: Part-Time; Mon-Fri; 15-20 hours per week

• Providing one-on-one career coaching and retention services for adults with disabilities
• Empowering people with disabilities to reach their full potential
• Building skills and confidence of clients to find employment through resume creation, interview preparation, on-site job training, benefits planning, person-centered planning, assessments services, etc.
• Engaging with community partners to connect clients with support services
• Building relationships with local companies to create job opportunities
• Plus a multitude of other industry-specific support services

Requirements:   

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Valid Driver's license and personal mode of transportation
• A flexible schedule to support clients when they work which may include occasional weekends and holidays
• Experience in human services, education, customer service, community outreach, sales, nonprofit work, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required
