JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM)
• Licenses: Active unrestricted LA Medical License, DEA License with LA address, LA Controlled Substance & Supervising Physician License (PA supervision)
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address and LA Controlled Substance license
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS required; ATLS if not ABEM certified
• Experience: New Grad Accepted
• Other Qualifications: Proof of CMEs for past 2 years, case logs for past 2 years, immunizations (flu, TB, COVID), sedation modules, $100K/$300K malpractice coverage plus LPCF enrollment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide 24-hour emergency department physician coverage
• Supervise and oversee NP/PA providers as required
• Manage acute care patients, including stabilization and treatment
• Perform procedures including sedation as per facility requirements
• Maintain compliance with credentialing, licensing, and malpractice requirements
