Elementary Ballroom Dance Teacher

Part-Time Elementary Ballroom Teacher
American Heritage School is seeking a part-time elementary ballroom teacher to provide instruction in ballroom dance within a faith-centered educational environment. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching dance and working with elementary-aged students and will be able to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.

Nature of the Role
The elementary ballroom teacher will provide ballroom dance instruction to elementary students as part of the school's educational program. The position requires preparation and instruction appropriate to the developmental levels of elementary students, as well as the ability to establish a classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, discipline, and respect.

Qualifications
Candidates should have experience and demonstrated ability in ballroom dance, with teaching experience preferred. Experience working with elementary-aged students is strongly preferred. Candidates should possess strong classroom management, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills and should be able to work effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.

Teaching Responsibilities
Responsibilities include planning and delivering ballroom dance instruction appropriate for elementary students, teaching foundational ballroom skills and techniques, maintaining an organized and engaging classroom environment, monitoring student participation and progress, and providing appropriate feedback and encouragement. The teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment and for completing other instructional responsibilities associated with the position.

Communication and Organization
The teacher will communicate professionally and appropriately with students, parents, faculty, and administration as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate attendance and other required records, preparing for classes in advance, communicating relevant concerns or needs, and completing assigned responsibilities in a timely and organized manner.
