Job Details: Job Location: PBR JM EAGLE - BATCHELOR, LA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, SUMMARY

The Electrician troubleshoots and maintains the electrical equipment throughout the plant to ensure proper operation and running efficiency, including extruder operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain work area to THM standards.

Supervises projects in accordance with the Maintenance Supervisor's instruction and schedule.

Supervise and work on the installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and location of trouble on all types of AC and DC equipment.

Make and analyze complex wiring diagrams/sketches and perform proper electrical installation from prints.

Start, stop, maintain, and help install and repair plant equipment.

Install and repair electrical conduit and cables, including connections, controls, and grounding.

Assist or oversee dismantling and assembly of electrical motors and allied equipment and the repairing, cleaning, and replacement of parts.

Operate mobile and hoisting equipment in the performance of E & R work.

Make or direct voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and other electrical testing.

Possess and use knowledge of the electrical distribution system and power requirements of the plant.

Possess and use knowledge of Underwriter's codes and requirements and perform work in accordance.

Possess and use working knowledge of electrical switchboards.

Ensure tools, equipment, and instruments of the electrical shop are used in a skillful, safe, and proper manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Works within guidelines and policies of JM Eagle. Works under the direction of the designated supervisor.

EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL SKILLS

Experience in electrical schematics, PLC Logic, DC motors/drives, AC motors/inverters, temperature controllers, DC brush-less motor drives, 110- and 480-volt control circuits, and conduit work required.

Candidate must successfully complete an electrical field test.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Some computer experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, etc.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a
