Description
Space Tango is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician for short-term, on-site support in Lexington, Kentucky. The primary focus will be small-batch PCB assembly and micro-soldering, along with general electrical engineering technician support for specialized aerospace hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precision hand soldering and micro-soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components
- Assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rework small-batch PCBs
- Build and modify cables, wire harnesses, and electrical assemblies
- Support electrical testing, hardware integration, and troubleshooting
- Read and work from schematics, drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
- Work closely with engineers to resolve assembly and hardware issues
- Provide other hands-on electrical engineering technician support as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Professional experience with PCB assembly and micro-soldering is required
- Ability to read electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or similar certification preferred
This is a short-term contract or temporary position requiring on-site work in Lexington, Kentucky. Schedule and duration will be discussed based on project needs and candidate availability.
