EH212 - Part-Time Housekeeper - Brooklyn Heights, NY

Overview

A lovely family of three in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a detail-oriented housekeeper to help maintain their beautiful 4,500 Sq. Ft, 5-storey townhouse to an exceptionally high standard. The position will be for 1-2 days per week- these are currently flexible- working for approximately 5-6 hours each day or one full day.  

This role requires precision, physical stamina for stairs, and a warm, proactive personality.

The family have two large, but gentle giant dogs, so the candidate should be comfortable around them. Mum works from home so it is important that the candidate be discreet and can move from room to room without too much direction, managing themselves. 

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping responsibilities will include - Vacuuming, mopping, and dusting across all five levels of the residence.
• Thoroughly clean one primary bathroom; providing lighter maintenance (wipe down counters and clean toilets) for four additional guest bathrooms.
• Empty all household trash and recycling bins.
• Work comfortably around two very friendly, large Bernese Mountain dogs.

• No laundry duties or heavy deep cleaning is required.

Requirements

• Legal to work in the US 
• Proven experience caring for natural stone and delicate materials using specialized, safe cleaning agents.
• Capability to navigate a 5-storey townhouse comfortably and carry equipment up and down stairs.
• Fluent English speaking
• Quietly diligent, focused, and detail-oriented with a high standard of work.
• Proactive, "can-do" mindset with a practical, competent approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills, including the confidence to ask clarifying questions to ensure tasks are done correctly.
• Excellent track record with verifiable references demonstrating an ability to follow precise instructions.
