Educational Assistant / Paraprofessional (Part Time)

The Opportunity

• Part-Time Educational Assistant
• Approximately 25 hours per week
• $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday–Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 AM–1:30 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM–1:30 PM
• Approximately 185 working days, including 172 school days, 8 professional in-service days, and 5 holidays
• Anticipated start date: October 5, 2026

What You'll Do

As an Educational Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through both everyday classroom support and one-on-one or small-group interaction with students.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing, organizing, copying, and distributing instructional materials and equipment.
• Working with individual students or small groups to reinforce concepts and skills introduced by the teacher.
• Supporting students throughout the school day, including in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, playground, gymnasium, and other school settings.
• Helping teachers maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment.
• Assisting with bulletin boards, classroom displays, decorations, and special events.
• Supporting students during snack time, bathroom breaks, class transitions, recess, lunch, and field trips.
• Providing helpful classroom support for substitute teachers when needed.
• Assisting with curriculum-related programs and daily classroom activities.
• Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating integrity and professionalism when working with students and families.
• Building positive, cooperative relationships with teachers, administrators, students, parents, and staff.
• Participating in professional learning and staff development opportunities.
• Remaining flexible and positive as classroom needs, assignments, or schedules change.
• Maintaining dependable attendance, punctuality, and a consistent commitment to assigned responsibilities.
