Who are we? At Autism Care Partners (ACP), our mission is to empower families to reach their potential through early diagnosis and exceptional, innovative, interdisciplinary care. Our collaborative teams provide comprehensive care throughout all stages of a child’s development by offering these services: Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and Diagnostic Evaluations (service availability varies by location). 

 What you’ll be doing at Autism Care Partners: 

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children, typically under age 5, to assess developmental status and determine eligibility for services, including consideration of ASD.
• Administer and interpret standardized assessment tools and protocols, including but not limited to: Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS); Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) criteria;  Structured and unstructured parent interviews; Direct clinical observations and behavioral assessments
• Schedule and conduct evaluation appointments with families at the office, ensuring a child- and family-centered experience.
• Explain diagnostic findings to parents in clear, compassionate terms, including implications, next steps, and recommended support or referrals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (e.g., speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, EI service coordinators, and other specialists) to interpret assessment results and develop a comprehensive understanding of the child’s abilities and needs.
• Prepare thorough, timely evaluation reports that summarize methods, results, interpretations, and if child met Early Intervention eligibility criteria
• Attend and contribute to Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings by phone as needed, and actively participate in EI team discussions to establish the child’s under the EI program.
• Stay current with developments in pediatric psychology/psychology and EI best practices; participate in ongoing professional development and supervision as required.

Education and Experience: 

• Licensure as a psychologist (Ph.D./Psy.D. or equivalent) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NYS 
• Demonstrated experience evaluating pediatric populations, with strong aptitude in ASD assessment and differential diagnosis.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and their application to pediatric developmental disorders.
• Strong interviewing skills with families, including sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and family diversity.
