Job Title: E-commerce Operations Specialist – Intern (Shopen AI)
Location: Richardson, TX (near The University of Texas at Dallas)
Internship Period: October 1–December 31, 2026
Schedule: Part-time; hybrid with approximately 3 days per week in the Richardson office
Summary: Shopen AI is seeking an E-commerce Operations Specialist Internship to support product sourcing, daily product operations, content creation, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of U.S. consumers, social media trends, and popular products, with good judgment on what products may appeal to different audiences, including younger consumers, professionals, families, and household shoppers.
Job Responsibilities:
Product Sourcing & Selection
- Research and select trending, high-value, and high-potential products across e-commerce platforms, social media, affiliate networks, and merchant partners.
- Evaluate products based on price, discounts, reviews, popularity, market demand, and target customer fit.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, viral products, seasonal demand, and changing U.S. consumer preferences.
Product Listing & Daily Maintenance
- Create, update, and maintain product listings, including product information, pricing, images, discounts, and links.
- Monitor products for price changes, expired deals, out-of-stock status, broken links, and other listing issues.
- Update, replace, or remove products to keep the platform accurate, competitive, and relevant.
Product Performance & Data Analysis
- Monitor product performance using metrics such as impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, and engagement.
- Identify high-performing and underperforming products and make recommendations on promotion, replacement, or removal.
- Use product data, user behavior, and market trends to improve future product selection and merchandising decisions.
Content & Promotion
- Write promotional articles, product recommendations, deal highlights, buying guides, and product collections.
- Create clear and engaging content tailored to different customer groups, shopping needs, and product categories.
- Develop strong promotional angles based on product benefits, pricing, trends, social media interest, and customer needs.
Campaign & Merchandising Support
- Select and organize products for homepage placements, featured collections, seasonal campaigns, and special shopping events.
- Support major campaigns such as Prime Day, Back to School, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and holiday promotions.
- Optimize product placement and campaign selections based on performance, trends, seasonality, and audience relevance.
Internship Availability and Work Schedule:
- Able to begin no later than October 1, 2026 and commit through December 31, 2026.
- Able to work from the Richardson office approximately 3 days per week.
- Available during the Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday period, including Monday before Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. The on-site arrangement for those days may be discussed in advance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional written English and the ability to create natural, culturally fluent content for U.S. consumer audiences.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Amazon, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and major U.S. e-commerce websites is preferred.
- Comfortable using data to support product and operational decisions.
- Strong interest in e-commerce, consumer products, online shopping, and social media trends.
- Good understanding of U.S. consumer behavior and the needs of different customer groups.
- Strong product sense with the ability to identify trending, attractive, and commercially promising products.
Potential Full-Time Opportunity:
High-performing interns who demonstrate ownership, creativity, and measurable results may be considered for a full-time position with Dealmoon in 2027, depending on business needs and individual performance.
