Established in 2002, Cat Clinic of Iowa City is Iowa City’s only feline-exclusive, full-service veterinary practice. For more than two decades, we have built a strong legacy in our community by providing thoughtful, high-quality medicine in an environment designed specifically around the needs of cats and the people who love them.
Our practice is home to highly skilled veterinarians and an experienced, energetic team that takes pride in delivering exceptional feline care. As a Fear Free practice, we understand that cats require a different approach. Our warm, quiet environment and feline-focused handling techniques help reduce stress and create a better veterinary experience for our patients, clients, and team.

Position Purpose
Come extern with us!Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
