Responsibilities:
- Follow a detailed support plan with goals specific to each client’s needs and be respectful of each client’s wishes and personal preferences.
- Domestic support skills such as: cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling and attending medical appointments, shopping, transportation, and housing management.
- Working on an array of goals to support clients in accessing social activities and utilizing community resources. Community inclusion support will likely include: attending social and volunteering events with clients, encouraging client involvement in community, advocating for clients, and providing transportation
- Ensuring client’s health and safety.
- Working with others in the interest of the individuals we support.
- Proper documentation compliance in accordance with State of ME regulatory guidelines and practices using the ClearCare/Well Sky phone app.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- One year of Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience. Alternatively, experience in the health and human services field, including roles as an educational technician, is also preferred.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. as well as proof of completion.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Pass a criminal, drug, and background check.
- Own a smartphone.
- Able to keep online records and communicate via email.
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
- DSP Certificate required
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients’ Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
- Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Seasonal Influenza.
