Boston School of Music Arts is a well-established, and growing music school with hundreds of students taking lessons every week. We're looking for an energetic, experienced Drum Instructor to join our faculty.

This is a great opportunity for a working musician who wants steady students, competitive pay, and a school that handles the business side of teaching.

WHAT WE OFFER

$30–$45/hour — private lessons
$40–$60/hour — groups & bands
$18–$20/hour — training

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who is:

• A strong drummer/percussionist and experienced performer
• An engaging, positive teacher and person who connects naturally with kids
• Comfortable teaching students ages 4 through adult
• Comfortable leading private lessons, small groups and bands
• Excited about helping students build real musical skills and confidence

ALSO: Piano, guitar, or bass experience is a plus.

A Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Some of our best teachers are working musicians who bring together great playing, teaching experience, and personality.

THE JOB

You'll teach private drum/percussion lessons and may lead groups and bands. You'll help students build technique, prepare for performances and auditions, and—most importantly—discover that they're capable of more than they thought.
