JOB DESCRIPTION

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. This role supports the kitchen and culinary team by ensuring that all items are ready for use, contributing to the efficiency and smooth operation of the kitchen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, counters, sinks, and work areas.
• Remove trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal according to hotel and restaurant standards.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces.
• Monitor dishwashing supplies and report low inventory to culinary leaders.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep tasks when necessary.
• Clean outside ground near back loading dock and dumpster area.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to verbally communicate clearly with hotel leaders and fellow employees.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with hot steam, water, and cleaning chemicals. 
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. 
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift heavy objects.

HOURS

Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year- any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
