Reports to: Executive Chef

Shifts: Primarily Tuesday - Saturday, afternoon and evening shifts (subject to change based on business needs)

Classification: Part-time and Full-time options, Non-Exempt

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the main kitchen dish area and additional food and beverage preparation areas. Ensures that all cooking utensils, china, flatware, and glassware are washed and stored properly.

Job Tasks/Duties

Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand, following food safety and sanitation regulations.
Polish silverware, platters, and chafing dishes to maintain appearance standards.
Empty kitchen garbage cans, replace liners, and dispose of trash and recyclables.
Break down boxes and crates, removing debris from the kitchen.
Inspect garbage for misplaced utensils or reusable items.
Clean and polish all stainless steel surfaces, including shelves, cabinets, refrigerators, and ice machines.
Maintain cleanliness in receiving, trash, and kitchen-related areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly.
Store all dishes and wares in designated locations.
Clean dishwashing machine and surrounding areas per schedule.
Assist in food preparation, organizing supplies, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storerooms.
Maintain inventory of soap, chemicals, and paper towels.
Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
Handle china and glassware carefully to reduce breakage.
Inspect kitchen floors regularly to ensure they are clean, dry, and free from hazards.
Participate in weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance duties.
Safely store cleaning equipment, including brooms and mops, after use.
Use cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
Prioritize washing service items as needed by food servers.
Consistently follow proper sanitation practices, including personal hygiene.
Attend departmental staff meetings.
Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Operate dishwashing equipment and handle kitchen wares in line with the club’s standard operating procedures.
Report all accidents, illnesses or near-miss incidents immediately to manager on duty or supervisor..
