Director, US Market Access Strategic Evidence

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, US Market Access Strategic Evidence based in United States.

This role leads strategic evidence generation initiatives that address evolving U.S. market access priorities and healthcare decision-making needs. You will translate market dynamics, reimbursement requirements, real-world data, and patient outcomes into evidence strategies that demonstrate the value of therapies. The position combines market access expertise with research methodology, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities. You will collaborate across Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, R&D, and commercial stakeholders while engaging external data and strategic partners. The role offers significant influence without direct people management, requiring strong stakeholder leadership and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across functions and regions. Approximately 30% travel is expected, with the position operating remotely within the United States.

Accountabilities:

• Identify strategic access data and evidence priorities based on market dynamics, reimbursement landscapes, healthcare policy, and regulatory developments in the U.S. life sciences environment.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams to understand segment needs and anticipate market trends that may influence patient access and healthcare decision-making.
• Develop and execute strategic evidence plans and tactics using fit-for-purpose data and real-world evidence to support market access initiatives and demonstrate the value of therapies.
• Identify appropriate real-world data sources and opportunities for patient-centered initiatives, working with data vendors, strategic partners, and relevant market access stakeholders.
• Apply and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning methodologies, including natural language processing and predictive analytics, to complex market access, healthcare economics, and patient outcome datasets.
• Partner with external organizations to leverage predictive models, algorithms, and analytical insights that can inform market planning, evidence generation, and patient care.
• Stay current on developments in AI technologies and research methodologies relevant to strategic evidence generation and market access.
• Coordinate evidence strategies with Market Access functions covering strategic accounts, payer and reimbursement strategy, patient services and distribution, and contracting and pricing.
• Partner with HEOR, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams to align real-world data and evidence initiatives with broader business and patient needs.
• Support research projects from planning through execution while coordinating priorities, timelines, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Present evidence, insights, and recommendations clearly to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to a collaborative, analytical, results-oriented environment while operating as a strategic individual contributor without direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required.
• Advanced degree such as a master’s or PhD in life sciences, health economics, or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years with a master’s or PhD, across life sciences and market access, including customer engagement, data, and analytics responsibilities.
• Strong preference for experience in hematology and/or solid tumor oncology.
• Strong understanding of AI methodologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
• Experience working with organized healthcare customers and/or organizations such as claims or EMR/EHR data vendors, IDNs, health systems, GPOs, or large community practices.
• Demonstrated expertise designing and conducting research, including real-world evidence generation and patient-centered outcomes projects.
• Strong analytical and statistical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful insights.
• Solid understanding of U.S. healthcare policy, reimbursement systems, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience identifying and evaluating real-world data sources and applying evidence to market access priorities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver results within defined timelines.
• Collaborative mindset with demonstrated initiative, adaptability, continuous learning, analytical thinking, and clear communication.
• Comfortable working across functions and regions without direct supervisory authority.
• Approximately 30% travel is required.
