This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Strategic Partnerships based in United States.
This role is an opportunity to lead strategic growth across pharma and consumer health accounts in a fast-moving digital health environment.
You will own the full commercial lifecycle, from identifying new opportunities through negotiation, contracting, and close.
The role combines new business development with long-term account expansion across complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
You’ll engage senior leaders across medical, commercial, HEOR, RWE, digital, and other functions to uncover high-value opportunities.
As part of a growing commercial organization, you’ll help shape sales strategies, processes, and playbooks while operating with significant autonomy.
You’ll work closely with product, delivery, and science teams to ensure solutions create lasting value beyond the initial sale.

Accountabilities

Lead consultative and strategic sales engagements with senior stakeholders across pharmaceutical and consumer health organizations, connecting business needs with real-world data, digital health, and engagement solutions.

Own the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, discovery, solution development, proposals, pricing, contracting, negotiation, and closing.

Identify and develop new strategic accounts while expanding relationships and revenue within existing customers.

Map complex organizations and build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, including medical, commercial, HEOR, RWE, digital, and executive teams.

Develop long-term account strategies that extend beyond individual opportunities and create opportunities for broader organizational partnerships.

Structure deals, evaluate commercial options, and negotiate terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Partner with product, delivery, and science teams to align proposed solutions with client needs and ensure successful execution after contracts are signed.

Contribute to the development of commercial processes, sales strategies, and repeatable playbooks as the business continues to scale.

Maintain strong executive-level relationships and communicate complex value propositions clearly throughout the sales process.

Balance new-logo acquisition with strategic account development and expansion.
Requirements

5+ years of experience working with or for life sciences organizations, particularly in customer-facing roles selling into leading global biopharmaceutical companies.

Proven success closing strategic, high-value deals within pharma, consumer health, healthcare, or closely related markets.

Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organizations and develop relationships ranging from analysts and functional leaders to C-suite executives.

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or consumer health commercial environments and the ability to identify opportunities across multiple business functions.

Demonstrated ability to combine new business development with long-term account growth and relationship management.

Strong consultative selling, business development, negotiation, and strategic account planning skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.

Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment characterized by ambiguity, evolving priorities, rapid iteration, and limited existing playbooks.

Self-motivated, commercially driven, adaptable, and receptive to coaching and continuous learning.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred: advanced degree such as an MBA, MS, or similar.

Preferred: experience with real-world data, real-world evidence, or digital health measurement.

Preferred: experience with consultative, high-value business development methodologies such as Challenger or similar approaches.

Preferred: prior experience in a startup or early-stage commercial organization.

Base salary range of $140,000–$180,000 per year, depending on factors such as location, experience, training, and skill level.
