Director of Thrift Store Operations

Job Details: Job Location: GA-AGAC Augusta Family Store 1 - AUGUSTA, GA, Position Type: Full Time Regular, Education Level: Associate Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Minimal, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Store, This position is responsible for:

Plans, supervises, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of multiple Thrift Stores for a location; plans, supervises, and monitors work of all Thrift Store personnel ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures as well as budget constraints; plans, supervises, and evaluates the layout and display of Thrift Store merchandise to generate maximum financial return; supervises processing of merchandise in the warehouse to ensure that items reach store floors in a timely manner; plans and supervises the rotation and re-arranging of stock; prepares and monitors sales, statistical and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervises and monitors cashier activities to ensure the accountability of cash register monies; supervises the preparation of sales records, sales reports and bank deposits.
Directs subordinate store managers in the layout and display of store merchandise; ensures stock is routinely rotated and prices encourage the desired level of stock turnover; plans, organizes, and supervises the preparation of displays for special promotions or seasons; ensures the stores are maintained in a neat, inviting, and orderly manner.
Oversees the supervision and monitoring of the receiving, sorting, pricing, and distribution of donated items in the warehouse; ensures that items are processed in a timely manner and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Supervises the scheduling and routing of donation pick-ups; ensures the accountability of all donated items; ensures donations are collected in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Supervises the operation and maintenance of all Thrift Store vehicles and equipment; ensures that routine maintenance and repairs are conducted in a timely and economical manner to ensure safety and long life.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle. Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required with team assistance or appropriate equipment. Position involves frequent standing, bending, reaching, and movement throughout the workday.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Education and Experience:

Associate Degree in Business Management or related field AND
Four years progressive supervisory experience in retail sales management OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certifications:

Valid Driver's License
Forklift Certification
Bailer Certification
