What We Need

We are seeking a results-driven sales leader to help grow our footprint in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) market. This is a client-facing, relationship-first role. You'll engage directly with CPG innovation, insights, marketing, and category leads to build strategic partnerships with key accounts. You know how to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and build the kind of trust that turns relationships into long-term revenue.

• A Full-Cycle Seller: You've run complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes end to end.

• Strategic and Curious: You ask sharp questions, listen for unmet needs, and translate what you hear into clear, actionable input.

• A Collaborative Partner: You work closely with internal teams to align client needs with our solution roadmap.

What You Will Do

• Build relationships with innovation, insights, and category management leaders through direct outreach, networking, and industry events.

• Lead consultative discovery conversations with clients to uncover business challenges and position Datassential as a strategic partner.

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with clients who work closely with us on piloting and refining solutions.

• Share client insights with internal teams to sharpen how we position and sell into the market

• Work cross-functionally to ensure client needs are reflected in how we go to market.

• Represent Datassential at industry trade shows and key events.

• Drive new business growth within the assigned segment.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales or business development experience.

• Commercial experience in consumer packaged goods or retail.

• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships at the C-level and senior leadership level.

• Experience selling data or data insights into or partnering with marketing, innovation, market research, category management, shopper, or consumer insights buying centers.

• Experience in an early-stage, pre-product-market-fit environment (startup, new business unit, or new market entry).

• Comfortable navigating longer, consultative sales cycles and building relationships before a deal is ready to close.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in person and virtually.

• Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and trade events, planned in advance.

• Interest in building with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.

Compensation

On Target Earnings of $175k-$250k/year. This range includes base salary + commission. Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
