JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Media Director will be a high-performing leader that can translate strategy into action and insight. This role is accountable for turning media dollars into measurable business impact across multiple Driven Brands.

The Media Director owns the media planning strategy across channels, translating the brand strategy into measurable, ROAS-disciplined paid media plans that drive traffic and sales. The role focuses on cross-functional integration and agency execution excellence. This role is ideal for a media leader who can drive strategic annual and ongoing planning as well as lead all aspects of paid media for their Brands.

Core Focus Areas

The Media Director supports the successful implementation of four critical levers of the Brand ecosystem:

• Media Planning Strategy and Innovation

• Media Performance Measurement, Optimization and Outcomes
• Media Process Frameworks and Documentation
• Cross-functional Internal and External Collaboration

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Planning Strategy and Innovation (30%)

• Influence and support the brand team(s) marketing objectives in all aspects of paid media, serving as their thought partner on how media drives both consideration and action

• Oversee day-to-day strategy and planning with media agencies to ensure agency strategic output of media plans, channel strategies and learning agendas

• Own annual, quarterly and campaign-level planning, pacing and optimization frameworks

• Create an environment of innovation, rigor and test and learn culture that elevates the team capabilities in analytic rigor, creative storytelling and media innovation

2. Media Performance Measurement, Optimization and Outcomes (20%)

• Lead performance benchmarks, ongoing reviews and optimization discussions

• Partner with Analytics on translating MMM, attribution and incrementality tests into paid media strategies

• Partner with internal media ops, internal analytics team and external agencies to support:

• Ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and data quality KPI tracking and dashboard updates

• Performance insights that influence future strategy, messaging and investment decisions

• Test design analysis and readouts

• Escalate performance issues, optimization opportunities, or operational risks to the VP, Media

3. Media Process Frameworks and Documentation (20%)

• Identify and solution gaps and opportunities in media process and ways of working

• Work across the portfolio within the Media team to develop consolidated approaches and best practices that benefit all Brands

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration (30%)

• Help ideate and then ensure brand goals and direction are implemented by media agency

• Coordinate with the Website & CRM teams on digital customer journey in support of optimal media performance

• Work with Media ops on audience segmentation, suppression strategies, and retargeting usage

• Hold the Media ops team accountable for proper tagging, tracking, and audience integration across campaigns

• Maintain strong coordination with internal teams and agency partners to ensure operational alignment

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in paid media, digital marketing, or media strategy

• Experience working with media agencies or in a leadership role on the agency side

• Deep digital and traditional expertise across local and national channels

• Demonstrated ability leading media strategy and generating insights from data to optimize performance over time

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

• High attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy

• Strong organizational and process orientation with comfort managing approvals and leading process documentation.

• Collaborative, accountable, and energized by strategy and optimal performance.

• Experience working with franchise or co-op marketing structures a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.

Compensation Range:

$145,500.00 - $259,800.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
