1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Syracuse NY (SE-NP)
13-year-old non verbal male student looking for staff to assist after school, and possibly during school breaks. He Likes trains, dinosaurs, baseball, walking outdoors, beaver lake, learning about counties, the titanic, and reading
The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, willing to find new interesting activities for him, and participate alongside him, also possibly preparing snack and/or meal, and work on communication skills.
This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
Hours and days of work: Flexible hours available Monday-Friday starting at 230pm-9pm. Do not have to be available for the entire 230pm-9pm shift, or all the week days. 17 respite hours available a week.
Weekends can also be available for events or interests
Starting pay: Respite 22.50
Location: Syracuse, NY near Lemoyne College
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
