Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide community habilitation services in the Camillius, NY area with a man in his early 50s. He is an active gentleman; he enjoys ice skating, rollerblading, going to the YMCA, playing basketball, hiking and food shopping. He enjoys doing household chores. New hires will be provided with training, support, and guidance from both the individual and the agency on how best to provide and deliver services.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and caring. Prior experience is a plus but not necessary. Reliable transportation, driver's license, and a high school diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the agency.
Hiring for 9am to 12pm on Thursdays and every other Saturdays from 9 am – 2 or 3 pm with a payrate of $21.00/hr. Indera is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
