1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Syracuse Area NY (KAD – EH) 

18-year-old male living in Syracuse looking for part-time Direct Support Professional to assist him with going out into the community and interacting with his peers. He is looking for a DSP to go out into the community to engage in activities and events of his choice. He is trying to attain his driver’s permit and is looking for someone who can help him study for the test as well as point out road signs and comment on driving techniques while driving him to and from activities of his choice. He is interested in electronics and gaming, loves going to the movies and discussing different franchises and loves sony pictures animation k-pop demon hunters. He has a cat he loves. 

The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate should be active and willing to go to parks and the library, shopping as well as other activities of interest.  

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. 

 Looking for service on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 2:45pm to 7pm. 

 Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. 

Location; Syracuse, NY 
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license 
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
