                                1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – North Syracuse, NY (JF-SW)

A 43 year old female in the North Syracuse area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with positive communication skills, independent living skills, participating in an exercise program/class, and participating in her hobbies of interest.

She enjoys listening to music, reading, arts & crafts, and being in social settings. She works very hard on her artwork and takes great pride in it.

The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, and patient. The ideal candidate should remember that the individual is very independent and will ask for assistance when she feels it’s necessary. The ideal candidate must also be willing to assist with personal care when the individual requests assistance.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: Tuesday 2pm-6pm

Hourly Wage: $26.00 per hour

Location: North Syracuse, NY
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license 
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
