Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a nonverbal young boy 11 yrs old in the Syracuse, NY area. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is energetic, open-minded, respectful and dedicated staff to engage in activities with him in the community.

The DSP will assist him in developing social skills, learning to complete his ADLs, Teach him safety skills. DSP will Encourage and assist him with overall health, safety, and daily living activities. Also Providing 1:1 service to ensure his safety

Hours After school - Flexible days 4:30pm to 8pm. Weekends’ hours can be discussed

Looking for roughly 15 hours per week Com Hab services at $26 per hour

We are seeking individuals who are reliable, patient, enthusiastic, and able to work independently. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Reliable transportation is required. A background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire through the non‑profit agency.

Must have a valid driver's license 
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
