Job DetailsJob Location: Kearney Services - Kearney, NE 68845Position Type: Full-Time - RegularSalary Range: $16.00 - $17.50 HourlyJob Shift: DaysJob Category: Developmental Disability ServicesGENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing training, assistance and support to individuals receiving services in vocational and community settings, as well as in-home services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (NOTE: Qualified persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.  Reasonable accommodation will be made.)

1.    Provide information for assessments of individual’s strengths and areas of need.
2.    Provide information to assist the individual program planning team to establish services, goals and objectives to meet each person’s needs and personal         goals.
3.    Provide training and support as determined by the Individual’s Person-Centered Plan.
4.    Provide on-going support and assistance to individuals in vocational and community settings.
5.    Maintain standards of safety for individuals while participating in the program.
6.    Maintain all needed documentation and records, including Therap (electronic case management system) within the required time frame.
7.    Assist with mobility of individuals including loading/unloading wheelchairs in vehicles and operating lifts to aid in the transfer of individuals.
8.    Project a positive image of the organization and persons with disabilities in the community; promote inclusion. 
9.    Maintain a professional, welcoming environment at vocational sites while positively representing the organization and individuals served.
10.  Provides transportation as assigned.
11.  Punctual and consistent attendance and appearance requirements per Goodwill policies.
12.  Perform work activities in conformance with Goodwill values, immediately report any wrongdoing (unethical or improper conduct, fraud, fiscal                             mismanagement, etc.), embrace and support diversity, and encourage and support others to do the same.
13.  Complete other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
 1.    Experience/knowledge of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
 2.    High school diploma or equivalent.
 3.    Must be at least 19 years of age.
 4.    A valid driver’s license issued in the state of Nebraska and meets all insurance requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
l.     Ability to communicate in spoken conversation, adequate volume speech, and have normal hearing for conversation, telephone use and emergency                 information systems.
2.    Ability to move safely and independently within work areas, service settings, medical appointments, community activities, and other assigned locations.
3.    Visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision within normal range.
4.    Physical stamina to work at least eight hours per day, travel as assigned, and safely lift objects up to 50 pounds when required.
5.    Ability to load/unload wheelchairs from accessible vehicles, transfer individuals from a wheelchair  to stationary chair, and assist in personal needs. 
6.    Physical ability to perform tasks necessary to ensure the safety of self and others by completing CPR and MANDT certification, and other training                     techniques as assigned.

3.   Ability to complete necessary records in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.
4.   Skills in activities involving teaching and observing; ability to communicate effectively using both oral, writing skills and assessment techniques.
5.   Communicate effectively with individuals, staff, guardians, providers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders using clear oral and written                          communication.
6.    Ability to work with people who have behavior issues and may become physically aggressive.
7.    Work respectfully with individuals who have learning, communication, emotional, physical, behavioral, medical, or mobility support needs.
8.    Ability to utilize the case management system, Therap, to complete the required documentation.
