About the Role:Thriving Together Support Services in Greenfield, IN is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) to join their team. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support individuals in community integration, social activities, and recreational outings
- Administer medications and document care accurately in compliance with care plans
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and behavioral support strategies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding client progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in caregiving, direct support, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
