1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Fayetteville, NY (CA – CW)

A 61-year-old male in the Fayetteville area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with making healthy choices, exercising, identifying and participating in new activities, money management, and completing transactions. He loves to tell stories with different voices and lots of enthusiasm. He is an avid music listener and enjoys going to live see live music. He likes CDs, DVDs, singing, going to the gym to exercise, bowling, talking to people, drawing, and window shopping. The ideal candidate is reliable, consistent, communicative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must also be willing to redirect behaviors and responses, and support regulation. The ideal candidate should be active and willing to go on long walks and work out in the gym.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: 4 hours per day, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Must have a valid drivers license 
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
