1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – North Syracuse, NY (CA – AB)

A 19-year-old male in the North Syracuse area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with money management, personal hygiene, time management, interacting politely with others, and increasing his positive communication skills. He enjoys shopping, going out to eat, cooking, science/science projects, crafts, bowling, and theatre. The ideal candidate is confident, engaging, consistent, patient, and a strong communicator. The ideal candidate must be willing to provide verbal prompts for toileting hygiene, redirect behaviors and responses, and support regulation. The ideal candidate must be comfortable walking at a fast pace, be able to react quickly, and have strong boundaries.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: 8-10 hours per week. Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-7:00/8:00pm.

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Must have a valid drivers license 
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
