Metro Star Services is looking for compassionate, responsible, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our growing team in Orlando, Central Florida.

Job Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide hands-on care and assistance to individuals in their daily lives. Your role will include helping them develop independent living skills, ensuring community inclusion, and supporting their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care services tailored to the individual’s needs.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Promote independent living skills such as budgeting, grocery shopping, and household chores.
- Encourage and facilitate community inclusion, social skills, and recreational activities.
- Implement individualized goals and support plans in a person-centered environment.
- Ensure the health and safety of all individuals under your care.
- Identify, document, and report any incidents, allegations of abuse, or concerns as required.
- Administer medications accurately (upon successful completion of an approved AMAP course).
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and families to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, healthcare, or disability support preferred (college credits may be substituted for experience).
- Must be reliable, patient, and compassionate.
- Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass background checks and required certifications.
