Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff member to join our team in providing essential support within our shelter operations. This part-time position requires individuals who are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our guests while meeting their immediate needs. The role involves working on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 PM to 11 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an approachable and engaging attitude toward guests and visitors, providing support and assistance with their needs.
- Assist in supervising the nightly and weekend management and maintenance of facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Enforce the rules and regulations that guests agreed to follow upon entrance into the shelter.
- Manage emergencies and provide brief crisis management as needed.
- Supervise meal preparation and distribution of food and supplies.
- Shift: Weekends only
Rate: $18.00 hour
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous experience in Human Services preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to speak Spanish, highly preferred.
