Direct Care Residential Support Staff  – PRN

Residential Support Staff : Support residents by building authentic, professional relationships, and helping to restore a sense of engagement, productivity, and contribution. RA's work to maintain a safe and supportive environment, assisting with planned activities, supportive check-ins, and additional coverage as needed. 

Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule: 

• As need to cover Day, evening and night shifts must be able to cover weekends 

Schedule depends on need of department 3 shifts per month.

Salary: $19.00 per hour and increases based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provides relationship-oriented coaching and support to residents and attaining their goals
• Assures the health and safety of resident and responds immediately to concerns and completes check-ins
• Participates and encourages participation of residents in recreational, social, and cultural activities
• Facilitates spontaneous social experiences for residents who are not participating in scheduled activities
• Supports residents with room cleaning and helps out in general with the cleaning of common areas of the building
• Transports residents to scheduled appointments as needed
• Is a first responder for on-call services in the evening hours
• Responsible for documentation for assigned residents

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience working with individuals whose lives are impeded by mental illness
• 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be on organization’s auto insurance
