Reports To: Dining Room Manager
The Country Club of Spartanburg is seeking experienced part-time evening servers to join our dining team. We offer a welcoming, family-oriented private club environment where members come to relax, connect, and enjoy exceptional food, beverage, and hospitality.
We are looking for hospitality professionals who are polished, personable, dependable, and passionate about providing attentive, personalized service. Experience in upscale dining, private clubs, or a similar hospitality environment is preferred.
Position Summary
The Dining Room Server provides attentive, professional food and beverage service to Club members and their guests while creating a warm and welcoming dining experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with guests and takes pride in delivering consistent, thoughtful hospitality.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time evening position
- Evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability required

Qualifications
- Previous serving experience in upscale dining, private club, or hospitality environments preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service preferred
- Ability to accurately enter orders, process member charges, and perform basic math functions
- Ability to remain composed, attentive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and committed to working scheduled shifts
Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge members and guests promptly and professionally
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, specials, wines, and beverages
- Accurately enter and deliver food and beverage orders
- Provide attentive and timely service throughout the dining experience
- Anticipate member needs and provide warm, personalized hospitality
- Build positive relationships with members and learn individual preferences
- Clear and reset tables efficiently and according to Club standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations
- Process member charges and checks accurately
- Assist with dining room setup, side work, breakdown, and closing responsibilities
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements
- Communicate member feedback, concerns, or service issues to management promptly
- Participate in pre-service meetings and work collaboratively with fellow team members

Licenses & Certifications
- Food safety certification preferred
- Responsible alcohol service certification preferred
- Must meet applicable legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry trays or other items up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dining environment
