Digital Events Intern (Paid Internship)

POSITION LOCATION

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Join TechSmith as a Digital Events Intern and help create engaging learning experiences that empower customers to get more from our products. In this role, you will contribute to our live training webinar program by helping plan and coordinate webinars across multiple languages and time zones, creating promotional content, analyzing webinar performance data, and communicating with customers before, during, and after events. You will work closely with full-time team members to strengthen our digital event experiences and support customers as they get started, grow their product knowledge, and build new skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Coordinate the scheduling of webinars and maintain the webinar landing page 
• Recruit TechSmith staff to support the webinar QA and chat 
• Design and create engaging thumbnails, descriptions, and email content to promote webinars 
• Coordinate with Marketing to promote webinars through social media and monthly emails 
• Manage communication with registrants before and after webinars 
• Analyze webinar performance and apply learnings to shape future success 
• Facilitate and present webinar content (optional) 
• Other Customer Education duties as assigned 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND 

• Pursuing a degree in Education, Marketing, Communication, or a related field 
• Experience leading or assisting in organizing events 
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a team environment 
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills  
• Strong organization skills, with a high attention to detail  
• Ability to write effective copy and email content  
• Ability to create engaging thumbnails  
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and provide timely and effective feedback  
• Willing to learn new technologies and share that knowledge with others  
• Must be willing and able to work 20% of the time in office (East Lansing, MI) 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without an employer-sponsored petition for a visa, such as an H1B visa.   

PREFERRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND 

• Experience with live digital events 
• Experience organizing and promoting events 
• Visual design skills (Canva, Dreamweaver) 
• Experience editing video 
• Experience with Camtasia and Snagit 
• Fluency in French or German is a plus
