Job Details: Job Location: 150 HOLY HILL RD - TWIN LAKES, WI, Salary Range: $70000.00 - $80000.00Salary, Allied Plastics LLC, located in Twin Lakes, WI is a leading Custom Thermoforming Manufacturer dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality thermoformed products as quickly and economically as possible by hiring the industry’s top professionals and skilled craftsmen, arming them with leading edge technology and training while providing first class customer service to all! As a Design Engineer, you’ll work alongside a passionate and supportive team, contributing to projects that require both creativity and technical excellence. This Design Engineer position is ideal for someone with a background in engineering and manufacturing who is eager to apply their knowledge in a hands-on environment.
Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000+*
*Can increase based on relevant experience
Design Engineer Essential Duties
Creates and designs Company/Customer logos, stripe drawings and molding specification drawings
Reads publications, consults with sales and engineering to establish design concepts
Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, materials and methods engineering, application, and client specifications
Presents design to design committee and discusses need for modification and change
Prepares illustrations
Prepares or coordinates preparation of working drawings from sketches and design specifications
Designs products for custom applications
Be willing to perform other duties that may be outside your normal work functions as directed by management
Design Engineer Qualifications: Design Engineer Qualifications
3+ Years of Design Engineering – preferred
Proficient experience with CAD software - AutoCad and ProE/Creo is preferred
Ability to read and understand blue prints
Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
Associate’s degree or equivalent from technical school
Experience in plastics manufacturing – is a plus
Self-Motivated
Highly organized
Excellent communication skills

Our Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, facility boasts some of the largest plastic thermoforming machines in the country. Your plastic parts will run on one of 11 thermoform machines. These machines have twin sheet forming, single sheet forming, drape forming, pressure forming and sheet over sheet forming capabilities. Seven 5-Axis CNC machines and 5 robotic arms guarantee fast trimming for you plastic components. Plastic sheet extruding in a wide variety of materials and textures. Lean manufacturing and short lead times are part of the Allied Advantage for your project.
